Scalby Fair, 17th – 23rd June.
This week-long festival of music, dancing, stalls and fun is one of the last remaining traditional village fairs around. This year’s theme is ‘Voyages of Captain Cook’ for the 250th anniversary of his famous endeavour voyage. Find out more.
Scarborough Open Air Theatre, various dates.
The fabulous Scarborough Open Air theatre is one of the best places around to catch a summer concert. Performances during June include Lionel Richie, Gary Barlow and Alfie Boe. Find our more.
Great Knaresborough Bed Race, 9th June.
This fun annual event has taken place in Knaresborough since 1966 and is exactly what it says it is! Decorated beds are raced through the town which culminates in a 30-yard swim (beds too) in the River Nidd! Find out more.
Dales Festival of Food and Drink, 17th – 18th June.
Taking place in Leyburn, this fabulous event includes a Food Hall with more than 80 exhibitors, a Real Ale festival, chefs demonstrations and farmer displays. A great family day out. Find out more.
Grassington Festival, 16th June – 1st July.
Enjoy 15 days of music, arts and walking in the very scenic setting of Grassington in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Highlights this year include an evening with Michael Parkinson and Jason Manford. Find out more.
Rosedale Walking Festival – 23rd – 24th June.
This selection of walks is a great way to explore the North York Moors with 7 fabulous options to choose from. Walks include a Tea Shop Walk and an Ale Trail which include refreshments along the way.
