Dog-friendly walks galore
Take the perfect dog-friendly holiday in the Yorkshire Dales. There are walks throughout the Dales that you and your dog will love. In fact, it’s a dog walkers paradise! You will see plenty of friendly sheep, chickens and pheasants in the surrounding fields so kept our dogs safely on their leads. The views are stunning, the air is fresh and the dogs will be in their element with ears flapping in the wind and peculiar smiles on their faces.
Stay at one of our self-catering dog-friendly holiday cottages in the Yorkshire Dales. Our properties have handy features for dog owners that can often include boot rooms for the pooches to sleep in, or to get them clean in after a long day out and about. You may also find enclosed gardens, cosy wood burners for them to stretch out in front of, and for very, very lucky dogs, there may even be a welcome pack full of tasty dog treats to munch and crunch.

Every man and his dog knows that the Yorkshire Dales is the place where you head out for game-changing walks. The best walks originate at Aysgarth Falls, Muker, Thwaite, Hawes and Hardraw. Dog-friendly pubs in the Yorkshire Dales
Have a well-deserved drink at this great village pub - you will immediately feel immersed in Yorkshire culture. With views of Swaledale it's located in a lovely spot. When it's cold outside the grand open fire is perfect to sit by after a demanding walk across the Dales. Also, why not investigate The Red Lion Burnsall or the The Blue Bell Inn – Kettlewell
Hawes is a lovely town in Wensleydale, world-famous as the home of its eponymous cheese. Visit quaint little antique shops, art galleries and cafes or stop at The Crown Hotel to have lunch. The Crown is a fabulous dog-friendly pub where they welcome all dogs and their owners. You can buy Wensleydale cheese from any number of local shops but we recommend a trip to the Wensleydale Creamery. It makes sense to go to the source and book a tour around the creamery - there's also an on-site shop where you can buy a block or two.
