Self-catering holiday accommodation in Kirkbymoorside
Kirkbymoorside is a charming little town set on the cusp of the North York Moors National Park. The town is a treasure trove for art and antique-hunters, home to one of Yorkshire’s quirkiest art galleries, Bils & Rye, as well as the fortnightly Ryedale Auctions. It also boasts the popular attraction, Ryedale Folk Museum, plus a selection of tearooms, a deli, wine shop, butchers and a great market on Wednesdays. Nearby are the vibrant Yorkshire market towns of Pickering and Helmsley; both of which have an abundance of eateries and independent shops.
Beyond our luxury holiday cottages in Kirkbymoorside lies the North York Moors. A landscape like no other, it's a place of gently rolling hills of heather, ancient woodlands and lazy rivers winding through lush green valleys. If you want to get away from it all, take a trip to the top of the high central moorlands. The famous Blakey Ridge affords some of the best views in the country and is just a few minutes' drive away from the town. It is also close to the North Yorkshire Coast, including the gothic town of Whitby and the picture-postcard fishermen’s village of Robin Hood's Bay – fish and chips at the Magpie Cafe is a must!
